Spending on mobile phone advertisements in India is estimated to grow 43% to Rs.430 crore by the end of March 2014, as the availability of inexpensive smartphones and tablets running Google Inc.’s Android system and a drop in price of high-speed data plans makes them more accesible to customers.
Advertising spending stood at Rs.300
crore in the year ended 31 March, according to a report released on
Thursday by the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA), an industry body,
and media website Exchange4media.com.
